Last updated: April 27, 2026
1. What We Do
RPM's International LLC provides the following services in and around Phillipsburg, NJ:
- Towing and roadside assistance (jump starts, lockouts, fuel delivery, tire changes)
- Cash for cars β we buy used vehicles in any condition
- Used vehicle sales β we resell vehicles we've acquired
- Metal scrap removal β we haul away appliances, machinery, sheet metal, fencing, and similar items
When you request a quote, submit a sell-your-car form, browse our inventory, or otherwise use the website at rpmsauto.org, you agree to these terms.
2. Text Messages (SMS)
When you provide your phone number and check the SMS consent box during the tow quote process, you agree to receive text messages from RPM's International LLC about your service request. Here is what you need to know:
What texts will I get?
- Job status updates β when your driver is assigned, en route, arrived, and when the job is done
- Messages from your driver β relayed through our business number so your driver's personal number stays private
- Invoice and receipt delivery with a secure download link
- Dispatch updates about scheduling or changes to your request
How many texts will I get?
Message frequency varies. You will typically receive 3 to 8 messages per service request. We only text you about active jobs you have requested β no marketing or promotional messages, ever.
Does it cost anything?
Message and data rates may apply. RPM's International LLC does not charge you for texts, but your phone carrier may charge standard messaging fees. Check with your carrier for details.
How do I stop texts?
Reply STOP to any message from our business number. You will get a confirmation and no more texts will be sent. Stopping texts does not cancel your service β we will reach you by phone or email instead.
How do I get help?
Reply HELP to any message, or call us directly at (908) 271-5474.
What carriers are supported?
All major US carriers including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and most regional carriers.
3. Email Communication
If you provide your email address, we may send you:
- Job status updates
- Invoice and receipt emails with a secure PDF download link
- Dispatch or driver messages about your active request
If you reply to any email from us, your reply is matched to your job and forwarded to your assigned driver and/or dispatch team.
4. Tow & Roadside Quotes and Pricing
Quotes provided through the website are estimates based on the information you provide (pickup location, drop-off location, vehicle type). Final pricing is confirmed by dispatch before service begins. Pricing may be adjusted based on actual road conditions, vehicle accessibility, or other factors discovered on scene. Cancellation fees may apply if you cancel after your driver is already en route.
5. Payment
You can pay online or in cash upon completion. All online payments β card, digital wallet (Apple Pay / Google Pay), stablecoin (USDC), and bank transfer (ACH) β are processed by Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor. Your card, bank, and wallet details are entered directly on Stripe's hosted checkout page β RPM's International LLC never sees or stores your card number, account number, or wallet address.
About the processing fees you see at checkout (in plain English): The percentages we display (3% on cards and digital wallets, 2% on cryptocurrency, 1% on bank transfer) are rounded up by a small fraction of a percent above what Stripe actually charges us. We do this so the amount you authorize fully covers Stripe's cut and any rounding β RPM does not earn extra revenue from this rounding. Cash on delivery has no processing fee. The full legal version is in section 5a below.
When you approve your quote and select a card payment, your card is authorized (a hold is placed) for the quoted amount β but no charge is made until the driver completes the job. Our Payment FAQ explains holds, your statement, receipts, refunds, and disputes in plain English.
5a. Electronic Payment Authorizations
ACH / Bank Transfers. When you select Bank Transfer at checkout, you authorize a one-time ACH debit from the bank account you connect via Stripe for the full quoted amount. You agree that:
- RPM's International LLC may dispatch a driver on submission, before the bank settles the debit (typical settlement is 3-5 business days).
- If the debit is returned for any reason (insufficient funds, account closed, ACH return codes R01-R10, etc.), you remain liable for the full quoted amount plus a $25 ACH return fee, plus any reasonable collection costs.
- RPM's International LLC may re-attempt the debit one additional time, and may pursue collections (including reporting to a credit bureau) if the balance is unpaid for 30 days after a returned debit.
Stablecoin (USDC). When you select Stablecoin at checkout, you are responsible for sending the correct token (USDC) on the correct network (Base, Solana, or Tempo, as listed at checkout). Mis-sent transfers are not recoverable. Refunds for stablecoin payments are returned in USDC to the originating wallet only β fiat (USD) refunds are not available for stablecoin payments. Per-transaction limit is $10,000 USD equivalent (set by Stripe).
No financial data stored. RPM's International LLC does not store bank account numbers, card numbers, wallet addresses, or any other payment credentials. All financial information is handled directly by Stripe under PCI-DSS and Stripe's published policies.
Processing-fee disclosure. The payment-processing surcharge displayed at checkout for each method (Card / Apple Pay / Google Pay: 3%; Cryptocurrency (USDC): 2%; Bank Transfer (ACH): 1%) is calculated using a gross-up formula (total = quoted amount ÷ (1 − rate)) and is rounded upward to the nearest whole percent, which is in each case marginally higher than the per-transaction percentage charged to RPM's International LLC by its processor (Stripe). The differential (no greater than 0.5 percentage points per method) is retained solely to ensure RPM's International LLC nets the quoted service amount after processor fees, currency-conversion adjustments, and rounding; it is not a separately negotiated charge and does not constitute a markup on the underlying service. By approving the quote and authorizing payment, you consent to be charged the displayed total (quoted amount plus the disclosed surcharge), inclusive of this rounding.
6. The Sell-Your-Car Program
You can submit a vehicle to us for a cash offer using the form at /car-sales/sell. Here is how that works:
- Submission is a request, not a contract. Sending the form does not obligate you to sell or RPM to buy.
- We aim to call within 48 business hours to discuss the vehicle. If you don't hear from us, you are free to sell to someone else.
- We may decline. We reserve the right to decline to make an offer for any reason or no reason at all.
- Any number we mention is preliminary until we see the vehicle. The actual offer is made after we inspect the vehicle in person, and may differ from any phone-based estimate based on condition we couldn't see from your description.
- You must have the legal right to sell. If we agree to buy, you'll need to deliver clear title (or arrange a duplicate title before sale), photo ID, and any keys you have for the vehicle.
- Personal items. Please remove all personal belongings from the vehicle before pickup. RPM is not responsible for items left in a sold vehicle after the title transfers.
- Pickup is free within our service area for vehicles we agree to buy. Outside-area pickup may carry a tow charge that's deducted from the offer.
- Payment. Payment is made at the time of pickup, typically by check or other agreed method, in exchange for the signed title.
7. Used Vehicle Sales
Vehicles displayed on our inventory page are owned by RPM and offered for resale. The following terms apply:
- Sold "as-is, where-is". Used vehicles are sold "as-is, where-is, with all faults," with no warranty express or implied β including no warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose β to the maximum extent permitted by New Jersey law. Buyer is responsible for inspecting the vehicle and accepts all risk of mechanical or cosmetic defects.
- Inventory listings and photos are informational. Year, make, model, mileage, VIN, condition descriptions, and photos are provided in good faith based on what we know, but they are not warranties and may contain errors. The condition of the vehicle at the time of sale governs.
- Subject to prior sale. Listings on the website may not reflect real-time availability. A listed vehicle may already be under deposit or sold to another buyer.
- Inspection and pickup. Inspection happens by appointment in person at our lot in Phillipsburg, NJ. We do not ship vehicles. Buyer arranges transportation from the lot if a tow is needed.
- Communication. Initial inquiries about a listing typically continue via the linked Facebook post. Sale terms (price, deposit, paperwork) are finalized in person.
- Documentation and title. RPM will sign over title at the time of sale. Buyer is responsible for registering the vehicle, paying applicable taxes, and arranging insurance before driving it on public roads.
- Personal-property exclusion. Items found in the vehicle after sale (e.g., a phone or paperwork left by a prior owner) are not part of the sale. RPM will make a reasonable effort to return them to a known owner, but is not liable for their condition or value.
- Cash for cars and resale are separate transactions. If we bought a vehicle from you in the past and later resold it, that does not give you any continuing rights or claims against the vehicle or its new owner.
8. Metal Scrap Removal
We haul away qualifying scrap items (appliances, machinery, sheet metal, fencing, busted equipment, and similar). Pickup is by quote and appointment.
- What we accept: ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metal, large appliances, vehicle parts, lawn equipment, and similar materials. Call to confirm before assuming an item qualifies.
- What we don't accept: hazardous waste, pressurized cylinders, refrigerants released or sealed (R-22 / R-410A units must be evacuated by a certified technician before pickup), liquid-filled batteries, asbestos, medical waste, ammunition, or anything that would require special disposal handling under federal or NJ regulations.
- You must own the items or have authorization from the property owner. RPM is not liable for disputes about ownership of scrap removed at your direction.
9. Your Data
Your personal information (name, phone, email, vehicle details) is encrypted at rest and stored securely. We do not sell your data and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Sell-your-car submissions where we did not buy the vehicle are automatically deleted after 12 months. For full details on what we collect, how we protect it, and your rights, see our Privacy Policy.
10. Photos
Our drivers may take photos of your vehicle before pickup and after drop-off for documentation purposes during a tow or roadside service. These photos are stored securely and retained for 60 days.
Photos of vehicles in our inventory are taken by RPM. We strip embedded location and camera metadata before publishing. By publishing a vehicle on our inventory page, RPM grants viewers a limited license to view the photos for the purpose of considering a purchase; redistribution or commercial use of the photos requires written permission.
11. Acceptable Use of the Website
By using rpmsauto.org you agree not to:
- Submit false or misleading information through any of our forms (this includes spam-testing the sell-your-car form with fake vehicle details).
- Attempt to bypass our anti-abuse mechanisms (honeypots, rate limits, CSRF protection) or otherwise probe the site for vulnerabilities without prior written authorization.
- Scrape inventory or contact information for resale, mailing lists, or competitive use.
- Use the SMS or email channels for anything other than the active service request they were issued for.
- Impersonate another person when submitting a form.
We reserve the right to refuse service and block access to the website for users who violate these terms.
12. Service Area
RPM's International LLC operates in and around Phillipsburg, NJ. Requests outside our service area may be declined.
13. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
Except as otherwise required by law, our services and this website are provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. RPM disclaims all warranties not expressly written in these terms, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
To the fullest extent permitted by New Jersey law, RPM's total liability arising from or related to your use of this website or our services will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you actually paid RPM for the service in question or (b) one hundred dollars (USD $100). RPM is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
Nothing in these terms limits any right or remedy you have under New Jersey consumer-protection law that cannot be lawfully waived.
14. Indemnification
You agree to defend and indemnify RPM and its drivers, officers, and employees against any claims arising out of (a) your violation of these terms or (b) your misuse of our services or the website (including submission of false information). This does not require you to indemnify RPM for losses caused by RPM's own negligence or misconduct.
15. Governing Law and Disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of our services will be brought in a state or federal court located in Warren County or Hunterdon County, New Jersey, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
Nothing here prevents either party from seeking small-claims relief in the appropriate venue or from pursuing remedies under any applicable consumer-protection statute.
16. Changes to These Terms
If we update these terms, the new version will be posted here with an updated date. Material changes will be highlighted at the top of the page for at least 30 days. Continued use of the website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
